IntelligentMEPBIMModelingforComplexBuildingSystems

MEP systems are the lifeline of any modern building—yet they account for nearly 40-60% of total construction costs and compete for the most limited space in ceilings, risers, and service corridors. Traditional 2D coordination methods leave too much to chance, often resulting in costly field conflicts, rework, and delays.

The MEP BIM services we offer take the disparate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems and coordinate them to create a comprehensive 3D Revit model. Our team ensures that all the systems of your building are in one place to enable clash detection, optimum routing of systems, and constructible models.

Up to 40% faster coordination, clash-free designs, and fabrication-ready models.

From concept design through shop drawings and installation, our MEP BIM solutions provide a single source of truth for all stakeholders. Whether you're an MEP consultant, general contractor, or developer, we help you visualize, validate, and deliver projects with greater certainty and fewer surprises.

Clash-Free Coordination

Identify and resolve hard and soft clashes between MEP systems and architectural or structural elements early in design—before they become expensive field problems.

Fabrication-Level Detailing

Create models with LOD 350-400, taking into account pipe spools, ductwork detailing, location of hangers, and bill of materials for fabrication straight from the models.

Accurate Quantity Takeoffs

Provide accurate information about material takeoffs and bills of quantities right from the BIM models.

Seamless Collaboration

Create an integrated digital space where everyone can collaborate based on common data to avoid misunderstandings.

MEP Coordination and Systems Routing

OurApproachtoMEPBIM

Every MEP project presents unique coordination challenges. Our structured approach ensures that.

  • Review of existing MEP drawings, specifications, and project requirements before modeling begins.
  • Establish LOD goals from LOD 100 (conceptual) to LOD 400 (fabrication-ready) based on project phase and deliverables.
  • Model mechanical systems (HVAC, ductwork, AHUs), electrical systems (lighting, power, conduits, cable trays), plumbing systems (pipes, drainage, fixtures), and fire protection systems in native Revit format with parametric intelligence
  • Develop custom Revit families for equipment/components not found in standard libraries.
MEP Installation and Coordination

WhatSetsOurMEPBIMWorkApart

MEP BIM expertise at our organization is rooted in an engineering background, together with a well-defined conversion approach. We develop models that are not only geometrically sound but entirely functional in terms of coordination, fabrication, and erection.

(01)

Fabrication-Ready ModelingWe design with constructability in mind, which involves spooling, hanger location, and joint detail to facilitate prefabrication and easy installation.

(02)

Multi-Discipline IntegrationWe coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems with architectural and structural components, ensuring seamless integration across all trades.

(03)

Code-Compliant DesignsAll systems are modeled in alignment with NEC, IPC, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local jurisdictional codes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

(04)

Tailored to Your WorkflowWe work within your Revit templates, standards, and collaboration platforms (including BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud), integrating directly into your existing processes.

(05)

Proactive Problem-SolvingWe identify conflicts and coordination issues early, providing practical adjustment recommendations that keep projects on budget and schedule.

PopularQuestionsAboutMEPBIMServices

Our structured MEP BIM process ensures that all models conform to your project requirements, LOD criteria, and documentation standards. Here are answers to the most common questions we receive.

Our modeling includes all major MEP disciplines such as Mechanical (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, ductwork, AHU, FCU, Plant Room), Electrical (lighting, power, cable trays, conduits, switchgear, fire alarm system), Plumbing (water piping, sanitary piping, rainwater piping, fixtures), and Fire Protection (sprinklers, hydrants, fire dampers).
We offer services for LOD 100 (conceptual) up to LOD 400 (shop-ready) according to your project’s stage and needs. We generally work within LOD 350 to LOD 400 levels when it comes to fabrications and shop production.
MEP models are incorporated with architectural models as well as structural models within the federated environment (Navisworks/Solibri) for identifying hard clashes, soft clashes (clearance issues), and workflow clashes. All detected clashes are sorted out in collaboration with you prior to completion.
In addition to being modeled in Autodesk Revit, we coordinate using either Navisworks or Solibri. Our deliverables come in RVT, IFC, NWC, or 3D DWG files, alongside their respective 2D shop drawings, schedules, and clash reports.
